The first issue is a zine/compilation inspired by the work of the Italian poet and actor Carmelo Bene and his ideas of “absence “ as demolition of the common function of codes and its traditional stylist's features and devices.
The original photography and the poems are by Cristiano Grim, the graphic design is by Peruvian artist Jonathan Castro. The issue features 10 music tracks by Mannequin Record founder and Barghain resident Alessandro Adriani, Emmy Award winner Jordan Lieb, Horror film score composer Antoni Maiovvi, Ombra International honcho Luca Venezia “Curses”, Madrid’s producer Juanpablo, Neud Photo, Brennan Green, Two Thousands and Autre.

120 America is a zine/compilation inspired by “Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom” by poet and filmmaker Pierpaolo Pasolini. It features the original photography of Cristiano Grim which focused on the degeneration of the American power on the African- American community, the LGBT community, and the environment. Portraits have been taken in the streets of New York, Memphis, Nashville and Durham.

The issue #3 is a zine/compilation that features an essay by photographer Stefano Lemon that explored one of the last punk music communities based at the notorious “Churchill Pub” in MIAMI. Poignant black and white photography, transformed by the hands of the legendary American graphic artist Zach Hobbs. Hobbs created an iconoclastic collage where the eucharistic adoration is matched with the holy rituality of moshing. A timeless punk, without sex genres or races, perched on a tower of beer protected by blood, sweat, arm chains, and loud preyers raged against gentrification. The issue #5 is a zine/compilation that features the work of punk musician and photographer JANE PAIN Chardiet. Jane took a stage diving deep into the punk/ noise scene in the suburbs of New York, where waves of blood and creams are holy representations of freedom. Her 35mm are shots of adrenaline straight to the heart, shocking experiences to awake your inner feelings and get you ready to riot. Design by Foie Graphic ’s Iphigenia Doleur.

FAKE is an American independent publisher based in New York, founded by its editor, the experimental artist Cristiano Grim. The main vision of the publisher is the disruption of meaning in art, the transfiguration of its forms, and the awakening of the senses. The first 6 releases are focused on photography, graphic design, underground music, and poetry forged into a hybrid format: a music compilation pressed on an audiophile quality vinyl record with an offset printed zine.

Cristiano Grim is an experimental artist, musician, photographer, and writer based in New York. He is the editor of FAKE, vocalist and keyboardist of the bands INTRZN and Wrong Beach, deejay and radio host with his heteronym DJ REAL at LYL Radio in Paris, The Lot Radio in New York, Dublab Radio in Los Angeles. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from University Luigi Bocconi in Milan, an MFA in Marketing and Communication at Accademia di Comunicazione in Milan, and an acting workshop at T. Schriber Studio in New York with Pamela Scott, the workshop on "Voice, Presence, and Storytelling", with Patsy Rodenburg.
