FAKE4 – MASK VS PERSONA is the fourth issue of the cult zine/compilation curated and published by New York-based multidisciplinary artist Cristiano Grim. Exploring identity, presence, and the fragmentation of self, this edition operates as both an aesthetic object and a critical inquiry, merging literature, music, photography, and design into a single act of publication as performance.

The narrative unfolds through a standout work by iconic Los Angeles photographer Parker Day, whose hyper-saturated portraits dissect the construction of persona and the tension between surface and essence. Visual language and bold typographic energy are injected throughout the project by legendary New York illustrator Braulio Amado, weaving alongside poetry by Cristiano Grim.

The accompanying sonic arc features original music that flows from the drone and reimagined Americana of San Francisco/Los Angeles artist Foie Gras into the cinematic, psychedelic electronic landscapes of LA-based Mexican producer Machino. The journey deepens with dark Latin pop from New York’s Valley Latini, post-punk energy from David Oliver Rose, and dark ambient soundscapes by Nick Hadad, with full audio mastering by Spaventi Studio.
